Institutes on Teaching Social Action
At our in-person and virtual Institutes, we train faculty to develop a social action course and syllabus. There is no registration fee for these Institutes, but in return we ask that attendees commit to develop a social action course in the 18 months following the Institute and make these five commitments.

We host a series of Zoom meet-ups during the Fall and Spring semesters to give faculty and staff who are teaching social action an opportunity to share and learn from others, as well as help the larger community of practice learn best practices. The upcoming schedule will be listed below.
Summit on College Social Action
We host an end-of-semester virtual summit on campus social action to give students an opportunity to share their campaigns.
Syllabus Review
The day after the summer and winter Institutes, we host a zoom meeting to discuss how the development of your syllabus is progressing. This meeting is for faculty and staff who have gone through an Institute, and are developing a syllabus for an upcoming social action class (or workshop).
Final Prep to Teach Course
Each mid-August and mid-January we will host a Zoom gathering for the faculty who are about to start teaching their social action course in the next few weeks. We will answer any final questions about your syllabi and that you have about your course.
