Morning Scott,
I'm about to write content for a new on-line Social Action Project (SAP) module for a Business and Marketing degree. I wanted to investigate your model as it appears to be more challenging, for both the students and me!
During the last two SAPs, we didn't explore issue development, building power, tactics, and campaign implementation but focused on addressing symptoms. For example, students raised funds to buy food, or connected residents of a retirement community to students to combat loneliness or worked for existing charities to promote mental health using Blue Therapy. I believe I could learn a lot by attending your winter institute.

Sue,
So how did this end up? Did you get that commitment to do policy change? Recall that 1/2 of the class should be dedicated to the students' social action campaigns (i.e., issue identification, building power, launching and implementing campaigns). If yes, great...let me know! If not, you are more than welcome to join a future institute if you can make this happen. We will be doing them every January and June for the next several years.
I thought you might like to see our new website: https://www.teachingsocialaction.org. Look around, and also click on RESOURCES and look up monthly websites. Please join us if you can!
Kindly, Scott ML
