Responses to Bonner Staff Feedback regarding Slavery and Freedom from Rome to Rutgers

The goal is to work with the faculty member to convert this history course to become an engaged civic learning course. This funding would support converting their syllabi into the Bonner Social Action Course model. Through the ECL Faculty Fellow program, the faculty member Evan Jewell will investigate and research slavery ports and markets that once were at the Camden Waterfront. The goal would be to create educational material to disseminate amongst community members. The Office of Civic Engagement is currently connecting with local historical societies to engage in these conversations for the benefit of the faculty member.
