Engagement Description

Our students select issues ranging from saftey, enviromental, advocacy, and social.

Experience

Within the Education Course - Introduction to Leadership Development we talk about social change, along with leadership theory, and students are to complete a project. Within the Department of Religious Studies, I co-teach a yearlong course - Civic Engagement. Students spend the first quarter learning about Civic Engagement and then participate in a project, usually with a non-profit, for the winter and spring quarters.

Interest

I co-teach two classes and present/mentor for an Environmental Studies yearlong course. All three classes require the students to work on a project that focuses on solving a problem and or making a difference.
