Social Work Practice with Organizations and Communities

Social Work Practice with Organizations and Communities

image

Motivation to Teach Social Action:

I want my students to be actively engaged in the Greensboro neighborhoods and have some hands-on experience with community organizers.

Course Description:

This course provides an overview of theories, concepts, and practice skills, including assessment, planning, evaluation, and relating to work with organizations and community-based organizing. Entry-level generalist social work practitioners work not only with individuals and families but also with groups, organizations, and communities. It is therefore important to develop a wide range of skills and strategies for interventions for macro practice.
