Course Description:
Social justice in the criminal justice system explores the intersections of race, class, gender, religion, and sexual orientation. While we will emphasize the treatment of racial minorities as victims and offenders within law enforcement, courts, and corrections, this course moves beyond theory into practice. Utilizing a "Social Action" framework, students will learn how to transition from analyzing injustice to organizing and implementing solutions
