Public Relations for Social Impact

Public Relations for Social Impact

Motivation to Teach Social Action:

This course development program has the potential to help me refine one of our most popular courses: Public Relations for Social Impact. Our strategic communication students—most of whom are from lower socio-economic backgrounds and first-generation students—seek ways to use their professional skills to make a difference in their world. I would welcome the opportunity to be able to better provide them with the resources to do so.

Course Description:

This course aims to provide a basic understanding of the role of PR in influencing public behavior and creating positive social impact. This course offers different approaches to solving a range of social problems in the areas of health, safety, environmental protection, and community involvement.
