Motivation to Teach Social Action:
I would like to revive my long-standing interest in civic education and cross-cultural democratic socialization to integrate some components in my teaching here at Clemson.
Course Description:
Examination of global perspectives and trends related to social, psychological, physical well being of children, youth and adults, families, primary institutions of society and civil society; examination of accommodation and resistance to globalization; analysis and comparative review of the effects of globalization on everyday life. To provide an advanced understanding of the foundations of contemporary globalization and its social, economic, cultural, and political consequences for the populations of different nations (including our own).
