Motivation to Teach Social Action:
I am interested in participating because I believe social work education should empower students to become active professionals and engaged citizens. As a social worker with experience in child protection and addiction services, and as a Master's student in Social Work in Education and Inclusion, I would like to learn innovative, experience-based teaching methods that connect academic learning with real social challenges. I also supervise undergraduate social work students and hope to incorporate these approaches into my educational practice while building international collaborations.
Course Description:
This workshop series is designed for undergraduate social work students and focuses on experiential learning through community engagement and social action. Students will identify local social issues, collaborate with community stakeholders, design small-scale social action initiatives, and critically reflect on their professional role in promoting social justice, inclusion, and democratic participation. The workshop combines theory with practical experience and encourages active citizenship, advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
