Motivation to Teach Social Action:
Empty AI Block
I often "coach" ChangeLab courses at UE. ChangeLab is an experiential learning opportunity in which students complete real-world consulting projects for start-ups or existing organization (business, not-for-profit, civic, or educational). I have led several that are social action in nature, such as the Community Race Project (students researched the African American intellectual tradition in order to develop educational resources for the campus that contextualize the racial environment in the US) and Ethics and Social Change Action Project (students developed a textbook lending library to address a need they identified on campus).
Course Description:
Emphasizing interdisciplinary perspectives and real-world impact, this course challenges students to integrate their academic knowledge with practical solutions to pressing social concerns.
