training objectives and long term goals
I incorporated social action into my introductory sociology course, using lessons designed to inspire hope in students by highlighting ongoing social actions responding to the material covered in class. I emphasized how contemporary social efforts emerge in relation to sociological concepts, helping students see theory in practice. I have also taught Collective Behavior and Social Movements, an introductory course that examines the study of collective behavior and analyzes social action across distinct categories.
