Motivation to Teach Social Action:

Experiential learning is needed more than ever. I am hoping to deepen my skills and build networks with educators who share an interest in teaching social action.

Course Description:

This course provides an introduction to policy analysis and advocacy in social work. We examine key developments in U.S. social welfare policy and governance, and critically interrogate advocacy frameworks including demands for safety, rights, redistribution, reparations, and abolition. Course materials and assignments focus on developing foundational skills for policy research, analysis, and social action.
