Shield For Scholars

• Shields for Scholars demands there be alerts/notifications on campus about sightings of ICE on campus and in the surrounding neighborhoods of Hammond and East Chicago.
• Shields for Scholars calls for a campus-wide policy to safeguard students, including blocking immigration enforcement from dorms and classrooms.
• Shields for Scholars demands for there to be more awareness and understanding for students via 2 campus sanctioned workshops per school year with student organization funding for knowing immigration rights and protecting students against unlawful detainment with collaboration with outside organizations.
