Roof Rights Movement (RRM)

Roof Rights Movement (RRM)

Demands

  1. We are demanding that more unsubsidized housing be built.
  2. We are demanding that Senate Bill 5249 be passed as it would allow for single house kits to be built.
  3. We are demanding that House Bill 2114 be resent to the Senate to be passed, placing rent increase caps on landlords and ensuring that tenants are notified of rent increases.

Target

The decision makers are a few notable organizations:

  1. the Washington House of Representatives (98 members, All names here).
  2. the Washington Senate (49 members, All names here).
  3. And for subsidized housing issues, we would need to contact:
    • The city of Tacoma, for zoning and land management issues
    • Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)
    • HOME Investment Partnership Program for additional funding and backing for our issue.
