Defenders of Highline Forest

Demands

  • UW Defenders of Highline Forest demands that the King County Budget and Financial Management Committee votes to fund the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks to create a unified Tree Code Toolkit.
    • My recommendation is to simplify and clarify the demand, as the focus is on a "unified Tree Code Toolkit." It might read:
      • "UW Defenders of Highline Forest demands that King County fund a unified Tree Code Toolkit operated by the KC Department of Natural Resources and Parks."
      • Of course, in the students org rap, and all the literature (fliers, social media, signs), they will need to explain what is a "unified Tree Code Toolkit". The common student who the students will be recruiting will not know, nor the public.

Target

  • Our target is the King County Budget and Financial Management committee; in particular we hope to target Rod Dembowski, chair of the committee, and Girmay Zahilay, a frontrunner in the incoming King County Executive race.
    • My recommendation would be to state their target this way:
    • Target: Rod Dembowski, Chair, King County Budget and Financial Management Committee, and Girmay Zahilay, running for King County Executive.

My question is: are there other folks on the committee? If it's a group of five, they will need three, etc.
