Advocate, Outreach, and Family Engagement
Course Description:
Depending on the size of the club, students will either be a whole group or split into small groups to choose a campaign together. Campaigns will be pre-selected and presented to students. Students will then actively work on their own campaigns during club time which is expected to be one hour every week. Students are also able to work from home, especially if they miss club time. Students will keep track of their own hours and activities done. Every club meeting starts off with talking about any news/events heard within the community as well as any previous club activity accomplishments. We will also go over readings related to advocacy, especially in San Jose. The remaining club time will allow them to work in their groups towards their issue.
