Experience

I taught social action through a public health lens in which we worked with community members and leaders on a community health issue. We provided a plan for the community organizations that we worked with, and gave the tools to the organization to implement it. One thing I would like to learn is how to build in social action into the curriculum specifically within a semester and how to continuously engage students in the foundations of social action.

Interest

I’m interested in participating in this course development because social action is key to health equity. It would be great to learn new skills so I can transfer them towards building community among students, community members, community leaders and artists.

How did you hear about opportunity
