International Security and Diplomacy

Course Description:

This course introduces students to major concepts, and debates in international security- with particular emphasis on the place of non-Western societies in the international system-, offer a synopsis of the major security challenges of the 21st century, and outlines and explains the main tools used by policy makers and diplomats to tackle them. Some of the main topics of this course include: climate change, non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, resource scarcity, and population movement.
