Course Description:
This class aims at holding space and building hope by studying ethnographic accounts of indigenous and non-indigenous responses to climate change. We will examine and learn about sustainability as forms of collective care that include more-than-human connections. By learning from these experiences, students can engage in learning methodologies and developing their own strategies to engage in climate justice and sustainability from a more holistic perspective. This class is also thought as a component of a future study abroad opportunity in Southern Chile (Chiloé).
