Course Description:
Sanctuary in Politics is a short course that I run over the course of October, November and December in which we train people with lived experience of the UK asylum system on British government, local government, advocacy, campaigning, media relations, public speaking and community organising. As part of the course they spend the last ten weeks designing and starting a project that can be anything from speaking at an event to creating content for a campaign. People from this course go on to become Sanctuary Ambassadors for our advocacy and campaigning work.
