Motivation for Teaching Social Action:

I teach community engaged courses and am always interested in structured way to guide students through effective social action.

Course Description::

This course focuses on community-level initiatives and projects focused on building community resiliency in the face of climate change. Students will interact with community organizations and leaders who have been driving successful initiatives and help scope "next steps" in order to tackle emergent needs. This will be combined with skill-building workshops in social change planning, organizational leadership, and professional and community based communication methods.
